Fiestas of St Thomas de Apostle Catholic Parish
Our Fiestas are a way to celebrate our patron Saints who watch over our Parish and intercede with our Heavenly Father on our behalf.
Santa Rosa de Lima and Santo Thomas Fiestas for St Thomas Church.
The St Thomas Fiesta Committee’s objective is to plan and execute both the Santa Rosa de Lima and Santo Thomas Fiestas for the St. Thomas Church. The committee is comprised of Mayordomos for both sites and members of Abiquiu and surrounding communities. In order to successfully plan and execute the launch of the Santa Rosa and Santo Thomas Fiestas, the committee is dependent on the generosity of businesses and the community. This includes donations for the Silent Auction and Raffle that is held during the Santa Rosa Fiesta. Donations of cash, items, and time are what make these events successful. A Community Meal, free to all attendees, is held during Santa Rosa Fiesta and is dependent on donations from the community. Donations of food, supplies, and help are instrument in the success of this wonderful event.
The committee is continually looking for people to join the committee. It is through the help of the community that will ensure that this long-held tradition will continue. Watch the weekly bulletin for announcements of planning meetings. Contact Thomas and Vanessa Barela for further information: 505-692-8229
